Switzerland Strengthens International Academic Exchange Programs

Bern, June 2025 — The Swiss government has renewed and expanded its academic mobility agreements with over 30 countries, reinforcing Switzerland's role as a global education hub. These agreements will support student and faculty exchanges, joint degrees, and collaborative research projects in science, humanities, and technology.

The updated framework ensures smoother visa processes, increased funding for outbound and inbound students, and mutual recognition of academic credits. The expansion is expected to double participation in mobility programs by 2027, offering Swiss and international students broader exposure and career-enhancing opportunities.
