Switzerland Expands Multilingual Education Strategy to Strengthen Integration

Basel, June 2025 — As part of its national integration policy, Switzerland has expanded its multilingual education strategy to include greater support for non-native speakers and international students. Public institutions will now offer more foundational courses in German, French, and Italian, with a focus on academic language proficiency and intercultural communication.

Newly arrived students will benefit from transition programs designed to ease integration into the Swiss academic system and improve classroom engagement.
